Smoothies are an excellent way to boost your intake of fruits & vegetables as well as healthy fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Maddy Trueman has created three smoothie recipes perfect for breakfast on-the-go or a nourishing snack to curb those PM sugar cravings.  


Mango Cashew Coconut Smoothie

~ Makes 1 large smoothie (or two small smoothies)

Ingredients:


1 1/5 cup frozen ripe mango

1 heaped tbsp cashew butter

1 tbsp chia seeds, soaked for 2 minutes in 2 tbsp water

1 heaped tbsp Welleco Vanilla Nourishing Plant Protein (optional) 1 cup cold coconut milk

1 fig, cut into quarters, to garnish


Method: 


Add all ingredients except figs to a high speed blender and blitz until smooth and combined. Pour into a large glass or two small glasses, garnish with figs and enjoy.


Chocolate Almond Butter Banana Smoothie

~ Makes 1 large smoothie (or two small smoothies)

Ingredients:


1 1/2 frozen bananas

1/2 cup frozen cauliflower (optional)

1 heaped tbsp hulled hemp seeds

1 heaped tbsp almond butter

1 heaped tbsp raw cacao powder

1 cup cold coconut water

1 heaped tbsp By Beth Unflavoured Bovine Collagen (optional)


Method: 


Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blitz until smooth and combined. Pour into a large glass or two small glasses and enjoy!


Mint Cacao Chip Green Smoothie

~ Makes 1 large smoothie (or two small smoothies)

Ingredients:


1 frozen banana

1 handful of baby spinach leaves

1 large handful of mint leaves

1/2 avocado, fresh or frozen

1/2 pear, fresh or frozen

1 heaped tbsp hulled hemp seeds

1 tsp Welleco Super Elixir Greens Powder (optional) 1 cup cold almond milk

1 tbsp cacao nibs


Method: 


Add all ingredients except cacao nibs to a high speed blender and blitz until smooth and combined. Pour into a large glass or two small glasses, stir through cacao nibs and enjoy.
